Minister Diana Morant, with our 3D models at the MUNCYT
On February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Minister Diana Morant visited the PLATO exhibition at the National Museum of Science and Technology (MUNCYT) with a group of girls. They had the opportunity to admire and touch the 3D models created by the University of Valencia’s Astronomical Observatory as the centerpiece of this exhibition about the upcoming European space mission that will search for other worlds in the cosmos.
This collaboration with the PLATO consortium in Spain is part of the “A Touch of the Universe” project (https://astrokit.uv.es), led and developed by the University of Valencia, which aims to popularize astronomy through the sense of touch, as a means of achieving greater participation from the general public and including people with visual impairments.
