The academic year begins again and we inaugurate it with our iconic visit to the telescopes. This is the award that the Sky Classroom gives to the winners of the Astrocontest. However, the real prize was the incomparable sky – Aras de los Olmos is a Starlight reserve – which we were able to contemplate without the help of the telescope, just with our naked eyes. Last friday, September 19th, the Milky Way, the constellations, the Polar Star, Antares, the summer triangle were waiting to welcome us, as well as numerous artificial satellites that, as if they were fireflies aboard a fairground attraction, did not stop crossing the sky.
On this occasion we were accompanied by Anna García Forner from the UV Museum of Natural History whose collaboration is essential to carry out this annual contest.
We would like to thank the teachers and students for their enthusiasm and patience. We look forward to seeing you for this year‘s 2025/26 edition.
